The programme reflects current scientific challenges as well as specific travel medicine issues inspired by conference motto ‘Setting sail towards the future of travel medicine’. Aiming to cater for the various interest groups’ educational needs, there will be a broad mixture of offerings ranging from keynote lectures on hot topics, industry-sponsored sessions, overview symposia presenting state-of-the-art knowledge in the field, as well as a broad range of workshops, poster sessions, and free communication sessions

The opening day, June 3rd 2020, focuses on hot topics in plenaries from the following keynote speakers:
• Prof. Patricia Schlagenhauf, University of Zurich, Switzerland
• Prof. Annelies Wilder-Smith, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK and WHO Geneva, Switzerland
• Prof. Lin Chen, ISTM President, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA
• Prof. Martin Grobusch, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The next two days the conference continues with three parallel session tracks to engage the lively and multifaceted travel medicine community, including a dedicated nursing track on Thursday and a general practice track on Friday. Collaboration sessions organised with the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and an integrated afternoon focusing on the immune-compromised travellers highlight networking activities across groups and interests.
